What Does “More or Less” Mean in Preschool Math?
Before children begin comparing numbers with mathematical symbols, they need to understand what it means for one quantity to be larger or smaller than another.
“More” means that one group contains a greater number of objects.
“Less” means that one group contains a smaller number of objects.
